Rainbow Retreat have combined the most sensational coastal ocean panorama in all of Tasmania, with a Private Nature Reserve and a very extensive food and wine menu. A Private Nature Reserve can only be granted to properties who have particular natural values and is passed by both houses of state parliament.

The seduction of Wombats, Wallabies, Possums, Wedge-Tailed Eagles, Spotted-tail Quolls,  Eastern Barred Bandicoots, Pademelons, Echidna's, Tasmanian Devils, Long-nosed Potoroo's,Grey Goshawk,  and many more rare and endangered wildlife.

Our extremely comfortable private cabins look out on to a wall of pure natural beauty, you can stand on your own private deck taking in the sensational coastal views whilst feeding friendly wildlife below, and at night view stars and the Milky Way Galaxy.

This retreat is a spectacular destination and it is more than just a base for exploring the jewels of the Tasmanian east coast.

Our Cabins are timber lined and open plan, with a queen size bed, a double fold out futon, dining suite, colour LED LCD TV, radio and a potbelly stove. There is a generous size ensuite bathroom with quality Actil linen. Our Cabins run on a 12-volt solar system with all the facilities you would expect.

The solar powered deluxe cabins have a private balcony that share the most sensational ocean views of the North East Coast. Each solar powered deluxe cabin is self-contained or we can supply a delicious dish from our inhouse menu delivered fresh to your cabin

We have a full liquor license and each deluxe cabin has a selection of premium Tasmanian and Banrock Station wines and also a fully stocked mini bar at very reasonable prices.
